We headed out on a 4 hour private fishing tour on February 28th with three anglers, departing at 8:00 AM. Conditions were nice on the water. There was a light breeze and a bit of wind at times, but it stayed sunny and comfortable with good visibility and manageable seas.
The group decided to focus on bottom fishing and it paid off. They landed many snapper and grouper throughout the trip, with steady action that kept the rods bent and everyone involved. We worked a few productive spots and continued to find fish, making for a very solid morning on the water.
As a fun bonus, we even had a pelican stop by and hang out on the boat for a while, adding a great little wildlife moment to the trip. Overall, it was a great morning with plenty of snapper, good conditions, and a fun vibe from start to finish.
